For
For dental students
You will be reading volumes, not slides. JawAtlas puts a real CBCT in your pocket so navigating three planes becomes a reflex before you reach the clinic.
What you get
- A bundled, anonymised, openly licensed CBCT so there is something to study from day one. About the demo scan.
- Tri-planar MPR with the radiological convention and labels derived from the scan.
- A panoramic you trace yourself, which teaches more than one you are handed.
- Calibrated measurements and honest grey values.
- AR slice-through for the moment you cannot picture where a slice sits.
- A first-open explainer and named modes, so nothing is hidden behind gestures you have to guess.
A study routine that works
Start with the reading routine, then take the guides one at a time: planes, orientation, window and level, then the anatomy pages such as the mandibular canal. Every guide ends with something to try on the demo scan.
Your own cases
Save moments as you find structures, caption them in your own words, and replay them before an exam. If a classmate or instructor shares a case, it opens with their marks and notes intact.
What it is not
JawAtlas is an education and training aid. It is not a medical device, and nothing in it should be used to make a decision about a patient. More questions answered.
Questions students ask
Do I need my own scans?
No. A full anonymised CBCT of a mandible is bundled as the Demo case. If your school provides anonymised teaching scans, you can import those too.
Does it cost anything later?
No. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or locked features.
Will it help with the radiology part of my exams?
It will help you read cross-sectional images with the right conventions and vocabulary. It is not a question bank and it does not replace your course material.
JawAtlas is an education and training aid. It is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment planning or any clinical decision.
